Lead Engineer Yachting - fulltime
Eekels | TBI is looking for a Lead Engineer for the business unit Yachting to strengthen the Engineering department (Zaandam location). The business unit Yachting is one of the largest electrical system integrators within Dutch yacht building and is active in the top segment of Dutch yacht building. We are looking for a Lead Engineer, who is confident when it comes to electrical technical knowledge, is self-reliant and can take the lead in setting up the design with the help of Engineers. Yachting's Engineering team processes all cable and system integration data from third party systems on board Super Yachts. Cable connection data is produced from this. These are cable plans, cable data, block diagrams, system descriptions, commissioning reports. Secondly, Engineering produces panel drawings for distribution, such as main and sub distribution, starters and control panels. Installation plans with overviews for fire detection systems, WCD, panels, junction boxes. We coordinate the hardware and software control of lighting systems and alarm monitoring control systems. What can you expect from us?
What is expected of you?
- Manage the Engineers for third-party suppliers;
- Designing main and sub distribution panels and supervising Engineers for the drawing work;
- Checking and validating the generated work;
- Drawing up, maintaining and validating a design file including short-circuit calculations, selectivity calculations, heat loss calculations and power balances;
- Supervising the preparation of manufacturing and commissioning protocols;
- You pick up, keep track of changes and manage the timely processing of revision work;
- Monitoring the project planning and drawing up an hourly budget;
- A large part of the systems on a ship are part of third-party suppliers. You must find out and process ambiguities with regard to I/Os, serial data and/or connection information;
- Ensuring clear communication with the project team and our client.
- A bachelor degree level and a strong affinity with electrical engineering;
- Several years of relevant experience preferably in shipbuilding;
- You are a systematic, assertive employee with strong analytical skills and result-oriented;
- You can work well in a team setting and you have (commercially oriented) communication skills;
- You have a good spoken and written command of Dutch and English.

- Vaste standplaats is Zaandam, in de toekomst is het ook mogelijk om op een projectlocatie te werken.
- Afgeronde elektrotechnische mbo-opleiding op niveau 3 (eventueel bereid om niveau 4 via scholing te bereiken);
- Ervaring als elektromonteur, ervaring in de panelenbouw is een pré;
- Kunnen lezen van technische tekeningen en schema’s (wij werken met Autocad en EPLAN);
- Werken met oog voor detail en kwaliteit;
- Proactief en een zelfstandige werker;
