Eekels | TBI is looking for a Technical Specialist Marine & Offshore for the Kolham location. In this role, you provide technical support for (complex) projects in the sales and implementation phase based on project data and collected information. You work on establishing technical standardization of engineering tools and methodologies and maintain standardized (detailed) designs.

The Marine & Offshore business unit provides electrical services and systems for Marine & Offshore applications worldwide. Complete installations are designed in line with the customer’s requirements and produced for installations at Dutch shipyards. Complete installations are also sent as ready-made construction kits to the shipyards in Romania, Vietnam, India, China and various other countries. The electrical services provided to the ship construction industry consist of: consultancy, system engineering and design, delivery of customer-specific systems and/or standard systems, panel construction, installation work, commissioning and service and maintenance.

 What is expected of you?

• Providing technical support for (complex) projects in the sales and implementation phase based on project data and collected information;
• Working on establishing the technical standardization of engineering tools and methodologies and maintaining standardized (detailed) designs;
• Developing technical solutions in response to trends and customer needs within established frameworks (time, budget, policies, norms, regulations, etc.);
• Proactively communicating about technical designs with the Manager Engineering & R&D and/or assigned Lead Engineers/Project Managers;
• Report deviations with regard to planning, costs and quality;
• Consultation with Project Managers, (Lead) Engineers, Software Engineers, and suppliers to facilitate the realization of your tasks;
• Performing thorough document management related to your tasks.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

• You have a higher vocational work and thinking level in the direction of Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
• At least 5 years of work experience in a similar position or engineering position;
• Good technical, communication and organizational skills;
• Proactive approach and good analytical skills;
• Knowledge of project management methods. This is an advantage;
• Experience with AutoCAD and EPLAN and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Access);
• Affinity with programming in Excel and Access (VBA / VB.net);
• A good spoken and written command of Dutch and English.
