Service/Maintenance Technician Marine & Offshore – 40 hours – intermediate vocational education

Eekels | TBI is looking for (international) Service Technicians for the Marine & Offshore business unit, based in Kolham or Gorinchem. The Marine & Offshore business unit provides worldwide electrical services and systems for marine and offshore applications. Complete installations are custom-designed and produced for on-board ship installations and supplied to shipyards or shipping companies. Additionally, complete installations are shipped as ready-to-assemble kits to shipyards in various countries such as Romania, Vietnam, India, and China. Our electrical services for the shipping and offshore industry include: consultancy, system engineering and design, delivery of standard and customer-specific systems, panel construction, installation work, commissioning, maintenance, and service.

Our service, refit, and maintenance department performs work on our own systems as well as on third-party systems for shipyards, shipping companies, and shipowners. As an (international) service/maintenance technician, you will be part of this department. You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair/refurbishment of electrical installations on board (commercial) ships and offshore installations.

What is expected of you?

• Tracing fault sources, performing measurements, and resolving various types of malfunctions;
• Prepare project activities with regard to documentation, detailed plans and drawings;
• Elaborating technical specifications or changes (if necessary) or discussing this with the work planner and/or project leaders;
• Preparing service reports, inspection reports, and delivery protocols after each visit, for the client and for internal purposes.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

• Completed vocational education (mbo) in Electrical Engineering/Service & Maintenance;
• You have several years of relevant work experience in a similar position;
• Knowledge of assembly methods and execution, measurement and control techniques (instrumentation), and reading technical drawings;
• A real team player, but you can also work well independently;
• Enthusiastic and flexible attitude;
• Good communication, commercial and organizational skills;
• A customer-oriented attitude;
• A good spoken and written command of Dutch and English.
