Junior Design & Proposal Engineer Marine & Offshore  –  32-40 hours – higher vocational/university education

Eekels | TBI is seeking an ambitious Junior Design & Proposal Engineer for the Kolham location to join the Business Unit Marine & Offshore. In this position, you will be involved in the quotation process for electrical installations and systems for vessels. You will play an important part in various projects within the dynamic maritime industry.

As a Junior Design & Proposal Engineer, you are at the beginning of your career. You are part of the Design & Proposal team that will support you in your tasks. These mainly consist of researching the needs of the customer who has sent a request. You gather the necessary information. Based on this, you create a design, technical description of the components, cost calculation, and a quotation. In doing so, you take into account the proper functioning and sustainability of the system. You learn to handle the existing tools so that you can eventually work independently. Once an order is confirmed, you ensure that all your data is transferred to the project team

What is expected of you?

• Developing yourself as a Design & Proposal Engineer.
• Providing technical support to the sales team responsible for commercial negotiations with the customer;
• Maintaining contacts and discussing inquiries with the customer to provide the most suitable quotation;
• Being able to translate customer needs into a design, forming the base for developing technical descriptions of the components, cost calculations and quotations;
• Determining in consultation with the Manager Design & Proposal, the stategy to offer on time and with the desired technical accuracy;
• Responsible for calculating a reliable cost price;
• Maintaining contacts with internal and external suppliers;

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

• You have a higher professional education (HBO) work and intellectual level;
• Experience in electrical engineering or education in the field of electrical engineering is preferred;
• Experience in the field of energy transition is preferred;
• Experience with systems in the maritime sector is preferred;
• A good spoken and written command of Dutch and English.
