Commissioning Engineer Marine & Offshore – 40 hours – higher vocational education

Eekels | TBI is looking for a Commissioning Engineer Marine & Offshore for the Kolham location. As a Commissioning Engineer Marine & Offshore, you will start up both control and associated electrical installations and regulate them. You will also troubleshoot issues encountered during the inspection and certification of installations and systems for technical completeness.

The Marine & Offshore business unit provides electrical services and systems for Marine & Offshore applications worldwide. Complete installations are designed in line with the customer’s requirements and produced for installations at Dutch shipyards. Complete installations are also sent as ready-made construction kits to the shipyards in Romania, Vietnam, India, China and various other countries. The electrical services provided to the ship construction industry consist of: consultancy, system engineering and design, delivery of customer-specific systems and/or standard systems, panel construction, installation work, commissioning and service and maintenance.

What is expected of you?

• Starting up and adjusting both control and associated electrical installations;
• Analyzing and assessing the existing situation with the aim of arranging the system in such a way that it corresponds to the specifications of our clients;
• Intelligently solving problems encountered while inspecting and certifying installations and systems for technical completeness;
• Communicating timely and clearly towards both internal and external clients, and potentially certifying authorities during the system acceptance process;
• Ensuring improvement of the quality and reliability of the installations;
• Ultimately responsible for a ready-to-use delivery;
• Handling technical data, drawings, inspection plans, test protocols, specifications, and contract terms responsibly;
• Tracking of revisions and performing any additional recording tasks.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile?

• Completed higher vocational education in Energy Engineering/Electronics;
• At least 5 years of work experience in commissioning, preferably within the maritime sector;
• Flexibiliteit is belangrijk;
• Strong communication skills, analytical, and enjoys delving deep into matters;
• Good spoken and written command of Dutch and English.
• Willingness to perform (offshore) work at all project locations as required;
• High awareness of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) concerns.
